General Purpose: - Responsible for the daily operations of the Interactive Teller Machine department.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: - Direct daily operations of Interactive Teller Machine team. Prepare ITM Teller work schedule to ensure all members are helped in a timely manner. May delegate portion of responsibilities when necessary, but may not delegate overall responsibility for results nor any portion of accountability. Implement and execute all Teller Operations - ITM Manager or VP Member Experience approved decisions.
- Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive and technology environments that may affect the teller, technology, or member service.
- Assist Teller Operations - ITM Manager with respect to recommendations for hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, training and development, and interpretation of credit union rules and policies for department personnel. Conduct all personnel functions in accordance with applicable statutes (e.g., EEO, OSHA, Fair Labor, etc.).
- Ensure that direct reports are granted proper authority and responsibility to carry out assigned functions. Review work systems to reduce duplication of effort and unnecessary work.
- Responsible for all Interactive Video Teller transactions performed at Interactive Teller Machines, including the balancing of virtual cash drawers to interactive software and to the computer balance sheet.
- Train, coach, and develop staff members to ensure CU objectives are being met. Conduct 1:1 meetings, conduct observations and perform on-the-job training with all new employees Write and conduct timely performance appraisals. Help with the queue in escalation situations. Monitor and track ITM Teller errors and offages.
- Assist with or conduct regular department meetings and regulation training to ensure all employees are trained on a regular basis.
Other Duties/Responsibilities: - Prepare custom or standardized reports as directed by Leadership.
- Responsible for ensuring an adequate supply of all operating materials used by assigned employees is available.
- Perform Interactive Video Teller functions, as needed.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Teller Operations - ITM Manager or VP Member Experience.
Job Knowledge: - Working knowledge of laws and regulations affecting credit union operations.
- Working knowledge of general ledger accounts pertinent to the department.
- The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and to outside parties.
- Working knowledge of organization's policies/procedures and credit union's service philosophy.
- Working knowledge of the credit union's in-house computer system and internet.
- Working knowledge of management techniques to enhance staff productivity and to maintain positive staff morale.
- Working knowledge of safety and security program for false alarms, robberies, bomb threats, and extortion.

Job Qualifications (Education/Experience) - Job requires a two-year college level of language, math and reasoning skills. Two years experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable. Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education.

Work Environment/Physical Activities Occasional travel to one of BHFCU's branch locations or attendance at community events may be required.
Ability to oversee fast-paced area. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work creates normal fatigue daily. Work creates moderate stress during certain periods during daily routine. Job does not have specific volume and pace of work standards except that the job requires that members be served in the most timely manner possible. Job requires extensive member contact on a continual basis.
Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.
Mental and/or Emotional Requirements Must be able to perform job functions with supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations with extreme accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public.
