Role Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and prioritizing deliverables, providing general operations support, and fostering strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders. You will lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks and issues, as well as a commitment to continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project and Process Management:
- Provide comprehensive support for project management, process management, troubleshooting, administrative tasks, and other operational drivers.
- Document existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and control multiple aspects of approved projects throughout their lifecycle, including change request management, issue management, risk management, and status reporting.
- Lead projects of varying complexity, ensuring outcomes meet time, cost, and quality constraints. Define project scope, delivery approach, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and budget in partnership with the Customer Project Sponsor.
- Develop detailed project schedules in coordination with stakeholders, defining activities, phases, critical dates/milestones, and duration estimates. Adjust schedules as necessary.
- Address low-level risks, issues, and scope change requests. Engage senior team members for higher-level risks and implement responses following established processes.
- Own project-level reporting and adapt communications to meet stakeholder needs.
- Establish and agree upon quality indicators for processes and outputs, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and business cases.
- Conduct regular reviews throughout the project lifecycle to evaluate business case alignment, process management, progress towards outputs, stakeholder relationships, final outcomes, and benefits realization.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Create clear communication mechanisms to distribute and ensure understanding of project plans, status, and issues with all stakeholders, including executive management and project teams.
- Comprehend and communicate roles and responsibilities with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key business and technical heads, managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, both within the organization and with vendor/subcontractor organizations, ensuring clear specification and fulfillment of project requirements, deliverables, and milestones.
- Ensure project delivery according to success measures defined by the business owner.
- Collaborate with the project team to seek input and validation from key stakeholders on business and technical requirements, ensuring well-documented and actionable scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Compliance with PM Methodology and IT PMO Standards:
- Monitor and control project documentation, including business and technical requirements, project metrics, schedules, risk management plans, and resource plans.
- Manage process compliance and contribute to incremental process improvements using lessons learned and other project tools.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of Program/Project Management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Slack/MS Teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience leading teams and conducting client meetings.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- 6+ years of hands-on project management experience, covering scope, schedule, budget, risk evaluation, issue resolution, quality, integration, staffing, and communications.
- Advanced SDLC lifecycle experience across waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced presentation capabilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Energetic and willing to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and ambiguous environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and priorities.
- Demonstrated use of project management practices and tools, including but not limited to O365, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Teams.
