Welder: Freeport, IL

Our customer in Freeport, Illinois is a leading global provider of manufacturing and distributing storage products and material handling. They’re seeking motivated individuals to join their growing team! As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding components together in such a manner as to achieve quality expectations while also meeting or exceeding throughput and productivity standards in a consistent and ongoing manner.

Responsibilities of the MIG Welder :

• Read, correctly interpret and comply with blueprints, drawings and work instructions.
• Identify correct parts to be welded.
• Place parts correctly in fixtures; weld parts as specified on drawing or layout; remove parts from fixtures.
• Perform freehand welding when required.
• Perform and document all required quality control work in process inspections
• Perform required daily maintenance on weld equipment
• Utilize Good Housekeeping Practices to maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follows all Safety and PPE rules at all times.
• Operate welding equipment, weld assemblies, use of, grinders, and hand power tools
• Weld flat, vertical, and at angles

MIG Welder Requirements and Qualifications:

• Basic math skills, including measurement skills.
• Ability to read work instructions and set up sheets.
• Ability to write product descriptions and numbers.
• Ability to read blueprints accurately and efficiently.
• Experience: Minimum of one-year MIG welding experience in a production environment.

Pay for MIG Welder : Starting at $16+/hour based on experience.

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 6am-2pm with overtime as required.
