Job Description

Job Function: Provide Management of the final inspection and QA cells ensuring all supplier and output meet quality specifications

Essential Functions:

• Lead team effectively, ensuring good cross functional communications and providing input to all necessary personnel globally.
• Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the company’s quality systems and policies into compliance with organization and customer expectations.
• Ensure coordination with quality staff, engineering and purchasing to establish quality requirements and identify concerns from external suppliers.
• Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
• Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
• Prepare clear explanatory documents such as categorized PDI discovery issues and supplier analysis.
• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
• Organize and manage quality assurance function in close cooperation with the customer and with the organization’s global management team involving all necessary personnel.
• Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out, and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
• Supervise technical staff in carrying out tests and checks.
• Supervise clerical staff to confirm recovery on “out of spec” parts from suppliers are obtained.
• Organize recruitment and placement of required staff.
• Conduct performance reviews.
• Understand and manage health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain housekeeping at the highest level within the department through involvement of all team members.
• Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior.

Additional Duties:

• 4-year degree; Applied Science or Engineering field or equivalent experience in industry
• 5 plus years of experience in Quality Assurance for production-based company.
• 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Experience with measuring equipment such as: Pharoah Arm, CMM machines, Calipers, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, specifications and drawings
• High energy level required
• Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
• Competence in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
