Our client, a Cutting-Edge multi-dimensional Real Estate Firm, is adding a

Senior Tax & Finance Accountant to their team.

 

In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Tax compliance, extensions, estimates and tax returns
• Coordinating with internal accounting teams and external tax advisors
• Calculating tax gain on sales of assets; requirements for Section 1031 like-kind exchanges
• Monthly and quarterly NY Sales tax returns.
• Monitor multi-year tax projections for REITS
• Dividend coverage for taxable income distribution requirements
• Quarterly and annual REIT compliance tests
• Calculate quarterly tax accrual entries for REIT and TRS entities
• Addressing tax notices from all jurisdictions
• Periodically review sub-lease agreements between Taxable REIT Subsidiaries
• Manage and coordinate tax audits of income tax, sales & use tax, franchise tax, etc.
• Calculate periodic taxable income estimates for various JV partners
• Prepare W-9s, POAs and other simple tax forms for requesting vendors
• Assist with Special Finance Projects

 

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax experience at large or regional CPA firm with real estate clients, or experience with a corporate real estate company.
• CPA and /or masters in tax preferred but not required.
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting

Pay:$90,000.00 - $110,000.00
