You can look forward to gaining real-world public accounting experience while assisting with financial statement preparation, auditing, general accounting and write-up work, as well as special projects. You will also help with preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. This is a paid position, where you'll get to work with staff and leaders from all levels as you have impact right away. Summer Internships typically run for a period of 8 to 10 weeks. Additionally, all interns are considered for future employment opportunities upon successful completion of their internship.

What you'll need for this position: •
Education: Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in
Accounting (or related field) and pursuing CPA exam eligibility. •
GPA: Must be 3.0 or higher in major and overall. (Exceptions considered if a letter of recommendation from an accounting professor is submitted.)

Hours: Availability to work 40 hours per week
•
Location: Availability to relocate to the internship location
•
Employment Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis upon hire. (Pinion will not provide sponsorship for this position, and therefore cannot consider candidates requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future. e.g., H-1B status).

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25 to $27 per hour. (In the event that an employee is paid on an hourly basis, salary estimates are based on estimated annual hours and earning potential, in accordance with state wage and hour regulations.)
